Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach to healing that focuses on the craniosacral system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid. This therapy is based on the premise that minor imbalances in the craniosacral system can cause sensory, motor, or neurological disabilities. By using light touch techniques, we aim to release restrictions in the craniosacral system, allowing the body to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
With its non-invasive nature, craniosacral therapy has the ability to alleviate tension and pain throughout the body, promoting relaxation and stress reduction. It has also been reported to help with a variety of conditions in infants and adults, including:
Infants:
Acid reflux
Breastfeeding and latch issues
Colic
Motor coordination
Plagiocephaly (irregular head shape)
Sleeping disturbances
Tongue and lip ties
Torticollis (one-sided neck tightness)
Adults:
Constipation and/or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Difficult pregnancies
Disturbed sleep cycles and insomnia
Fibromyalgia
Migraines and headaches
Mood disorders like anxiety or depression
Neck and back pain
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Recurrent ear infections
Scoliosis
Sinus infections
TMJ disorders
Trauma recovery (including from whiplash)
Craniosacral therapy is known to improve overall well-being by enhancing the body's natural healing abilities and supporting the immune system. You will also find it offers a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating holistic approach to health and wellness, addressing both your physical and emotional aspects of well-being.
